living outside of russia makes it hard to listen to russian popular music. but thanx to the internet there are several possibilities. here is a list of some that i know of (and if you have suggestions, leave them in the comments so we can compile a more extensive list):
- nashe radio - russian pop-rock and russkii rok (in russian)
- russkoe radio - russian pop (in russian)
- radio schum - a monthly bilingual (german/russian) program on music from mainly russia, ukraine and belorus
- russendisko club mit yuriy gurzhy - a monthly radio show in german by one of the russendisko dj's, yuriy gurzhy (there's also a podcast called russendisko unplugged but it has been inactive for some months now)
- pi-rock radio - a rock organization for russian language bands in germany
- far from moscow - podcast in english dedicated to new music from russia made by david macfadyen
- russmus's podcasts on russian music (in english)
- and for the fans of bg: aerostat - bg's weekly show at radio rossii (radio rossii for the official page and aerostat.rpod.ru for the podcast version). however most of the shows are not about russian popular music (in russian)
- and my favorite ;-) radio shanson (in russian)
- last, but not least, here is a list of various russian online radio stations: www.guzei.com/radio/live
